Project Outline
The challenge for this project was to design environmentally friendly packaging. Blind box toys were picked for this project, as they create a lot of waste in order to keep their contents secret. They typically require a cardboard box with a non-recyclable plastic bag covering the toy.

About Mushies
Mushies is a line of environmentally friendly toys made with a bioplastic called Arboform. It is biodegradable like wood and can be molded like plastic. The packaging is made to be tamper-proof and plastic free. The box is sealed on all edges, but has a cord that rips the box open when pulled. Like the product, the box is fully biodegradable. It is also recyclable, if composting is not an option.
